Notes:

An attempt to implement a funky all-singing all-dancing web site engine in Scheme. Work is progressing apace and we have a first version after a few late-night marathon hacks. That said, we're trying to design it in light of past experience (this is our 8th site recode) and it's looking quite nice so far. The web site is still not done yet, but a basic project page and mailing list are now on savannah.

Why Scheme? Well, there are a number of cool things about it. First up, it's a clean, small, easy-to-learn language which is related to lisp. I'm always amazed how fast you can develop in the lisp family once you've learnt it. Web programming as it should be.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.

If you're a C programmer with some spare time, take a look at the mod_virgule project page and help us with one of the tasks on the ToDo list!
