Notes: uClinux is a derivative of Linux 2.0, and now also 2.4, kernels intended for microcontrollers without Memory Management Units (MMUs). These include the Motorolla Dragonball, the Motorolla Coldfire, ARM's arm7tdmi, Hitachi's SH2, the LEON sparc, and a number of others.
Making Linux run on systems without MMUs is very very hard. This is a fascinating project. There are already a number of commercial applications from companies such as Aplio, Ericsson, Axis, and Lineo.
