Squealmail is a Perl and mySQL driven email-like system. The main goal of the project is to create something that can be used internally within sites reproducing the same functionality and features as traditional email, while retaining the ability for users to remain anonymous.
Some example uses and users of this system:
- Companies that wish to allow employees to immediately contact entire departments or single coworkers without having to deal with the hassle of setting up traditional mail servers
- Forum-based sites that want to allow users to contact each other but do not because of security and privacy issues
- Applications that need messaging features but privacy and anonymity are extremely important
This project has the following developers:
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
