Notes:

scribe re-writes function prototypes for C code so you don't have to.

It's smart enough to 'extern' function calls between source code files. Its default configuration is to write a file with prototypes in it you can #include in your own source. There are more customization switches than I care to mention here. Check it out. You might find it useful.
