Notes: pyPgSQL is a Python DB-API 2.0 compliant interface for PostgreSQL databases. It has a low-level module called libpq, that exposes the PostgreSQL client library for Python programmers.
The high-level module PgSQL is based on libpq and provides a high-level DB-API 2.0 interface. PgSQL also maps the various PostgreSQL types, such as INT8, NUMERIC, MONEY, BOOL, ARRAYS, BYTEA, etc to corresponding Python types.
The project was started by Bill Allie and ghaering later joined the project.
