Notes:

medusa is the search and indexing system for Nautilus. medusa consists of a set of compressed databases that store information about the files on your system Right now information stored includes file names, unix attributes and mime types. The content index for text files is in progress. Searches are performed by sending search URIs to medusa's search daemon. The spec for writing search URIs is include in medusa's source
