Notes: The Internet is a very big thing, and everyone does their part, or it all collapses, unless someone else helps them out. The Internet is filled with porn, bad people, and lots of wasted space, but there's a lot of good stuff too. Every person who runs a server of any sort, and every person who writes content for webpages or who participates in an IRC channel, or writes the software that powers webservers, irc servers, gopher servers, etc. is a contributor to the internet. A lot of governments try to get involved, but it is we, the citizens of the digital world, who have ultimate control.
Comments?
i would guess maintaining routers, writing software for the routers, name servers should be also included, somehow that is what makes internet a working packet switching network (; -- mickey
would it be considered development if a user writes these ldapdns nameservers? :) -- mrsbrisby
