Notes: The gnome-filer is no longer maintained.

Instead, look at Entity, which has much better potential.

Gnome-filer is intended to be a GUI RAD development environment for database applications, using GnomeDB as the database abstraction layer. GF is fully buzzword-compliant, I'm sure. The architecture is based on plug-ins. Each component is loaded at run-time-- this includes Gnome and GTK+ objects, as well as language bindings. The first (incomplete) implementation had a Perl plug-in; I plan on adding Python, Guile, C, and as many others as possible. The current re-write uses object plug-ins for the interface. This helps me figure out implementation and API details.

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
