Notes:

The creation of Welsh translations for GNOME. Work started in 2003, leading to Welsh being 100% supported in the desktop and developer libraries of GNOME 2.4.

Translation work has continued throughout the past months, and Welsh is now similarly 100% supported in GNOME 2.6.

As a group of free software translators, we are helped and supported by those who have translated KDE, Mozilla and OpenOffice into Welsh. A comprehensive list of open source software available in Welsh can be found at Meddal.

Linux distributions with Welsh translations include MandrakeLinux Community 10, and Fedora Core 2.

dgh is the co-ordinator for the GNOME Welsh translation project, and runs the Cymru ar Linux (Wales on Linux) website.
