gPhoto is the GNU digital camera software application, written by Scott Fritzinger (scottf@scs.unr.edu) -- with assistance from library developers around the world.

gPhoto supports 400+ different digital camera models from various vendors connected with serial or USB.

Just download the latest stable release or the latest development source from the 'gphoto2' module in gphoto CVS on SourceForge, subscribe to gphoto-devel@lists.sourceforge.net and start hacking.

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
