Notes: The Virtual Object System (VOS) is a hierachical distributed object system, a desert topping, and a floor wax. It is an infrastructure for object-oriented network communication, and building flexible, distributed object networks. It also tastes good and will keep your floors shiny. VOS is a protocol and architechture design that you can use to build network application components (clients, servers, peer-to-peer nodes) for many purposes. The VOS reference library implementation is written in C++ and available under the terms of the GNU Lesser GPL, which gives you access to the source code, and allows you to link to the library from both Free and Non-Free programs.
