Notes: UniConf is the One True Configuration system (to merge KConfig, DebConf, GConf, some LDAP stuff, and as many other things as possible).

UniConf is the One True Configuration System that includes all the others because it has plugin backends and frontends. Or, less grandiosely, it's a (supposedly) lightweight tree of strings. It supports:

• retrieving, storing, and enumerating key/value pairs (where both keys and values are strings).
• multiple backends where the actual key/value pairs are stored: KConfig, DebConf, GConf, some LDAP stuff, Windows Registry, and of course text files of varying formats.
• eventually, multiple frontends for tying it to other configuration architectures.

FOAF updates: Trust rankings are now exported, making the data available to other users and websites. An external FOAF URI has been added, allowing users to link to an additional FOAF file.
