Notes:

What if you could meet all of your network & systems management needs with a free and open solution that allows you to customize it to your environment? And by the way, it will run on your choice of platforms and provide a consistent user interface regardless. Oh yeah, it will also scale better than any other "closed" solution on the market.

The folks at OpenNMS are willing to bet that you'll at least be interested in hearing more, and hopefully in contributing to the effort. As a matter of fact, they've bet their careers on it (not to mention a lot of money...)

Given the likelihood of "unplanned" additional functionality, contributed from the open source community, this one will be a project to watch. And check out the web site--we're taking this seriously, including architectural documents, design specs, project management, and already a sizable community following. We aren't just out to build a product--we're out to change an industry.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.

If you're a C programmer with some spare time, take a look at the mod_virgule project page and help us with one of the tasks on the ToDo list!
