Notes:

The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) is an independent, nonprofit organization that evolved out of the Linux community to create a certification program for professionals working with Linux.

LPI believes that since there will be certification programs created for Linux, such programs ought to be overseen by actual Linux professionals rather than training/courseware companies or by individual distributions. More information about LPI can be found on the Why LPI page or on the main LPI home page.
