Notes: Gale is freeware instant messaging and presence software under development for Unix. It resembles the MIT Zephyr system, Internet Relay Chat, Mirabilis' ICQ, AOL's Instant Messenger, and other systems. It uses its own protocol and sports a robust, distributed architecture.
