Notes: I wish there was a way to delete this project once I found the GNU GRUB page!
GRUB is the GRand Unified Bootloader. It is designed to supplement deficient computer BIOS implementations with the features necessary to bootstrap any free or not-so-free kernel from the disk or from the network.
Currently GRUB is only ported to ix86, but we expect to port to more platforms when the GRUB scripting language has been implemented.
