DrinkMixer is a database designed to organize a collection of recipes for mixed drinks, DrinkMixer is implemented in the Java language and utilizes Swing for the graphical user interface. Since DrinkMixer is written in Java, it will be able to run on any computer capable of running the Java Virtual Machine.
The primary purpose of Drink Mixer is to allow a user to quickly search through the database for drinks that can be mixed with the ingredients the user has on hand. A user can also search by other criteria such as: drink name, glass type, flavor, alcohol content, and possibly time and place of origin (if the origin of a drink is unknown, it will not be included in searches that require that information).
Besides searching for drinks, there will also be the ability to add and remove drinks from the database, editing of drinks already in the database (including creating new versions), and to print out information about the drink.
DrinkMixer was written as a group project for a software engineering class at Clarkson University. When the class was over, we figured that it was a shame that our work would never be seen by anyone else, so we made it free software, and created a project for it on sourceforge. Now, as long as sourceforge stays up, people will be able to see our work.
This project has the following developers:
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
