Codestriker is a Perl CGI script that is used for performing code reviews in a collaborative fashion, as opposed to using unstructured emails. Authors create code review topics, the nominated reviewers being automatically notified by email. Reviewers then submit comments against the code on a per-line basis, and can view comments submitted by the other reviewers as they are created. Emails are sent to the appropriate parties, as an alert mechanism, when comments are created. The author is free to submit comments against the review comments. Once all reviewers have finished the author has all review comments available in a structured fashion, instead of a pile of unstructured emails.
Special integration support is provided for reviewing CVS diffs (or patch files) by supporting a coloured diff mode, the ability to open old or new versions of a file under review in a popup, and integration with a bug tracking sytsem, such as Bugzilla.
This project has the following developers:
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
