Notes:
CDL3 (Compiler Description Language) is a language based on affix grammars. It is intended for development of compilers. It has a easy to use, yet powerfull way to traverse complex datastructures.
The language looks like PROLOG, but is deterministic and strongly typed. For these reasons, efficiency and static checking are much better than in PROLOG. CDL3 is available as a compiler generator on numerous platforms, producing either very efficient assembly code or (less efficient but portable) C code.
