Time for a new entry :) As i now that this year will be
turbulent like the last one, i hope that i find the time to
sketch some of my ideas.
Commenting the last entries. I run all my systems again with
iso. The utf zapp created to much problem with some quick
hacks. I experienced some interesting things like lvm2,
xorg-1.1/1.2 matrox_hal problem, ... I am happy that my
systems are running smooth. Currently i am diving into
groovy. The last thing to say that i was really shocked last
week by some gcc-compiler issues and diving deeper into the
problem i was shocked by the c-language specs :(

A Month has past and still no new Code :( I experimented
with UTF8 but the results are frustrating and didn't seem
mature or consistant. Upgraded my Nokia 770 and experimented
with the toolchain. Nothing notably happend.

Well it worked! System is updated and is working well. I know only two system where a distro-version upgrade really worked. Ubuntu and Gentoo. Well it wasn't my intention to upgrade but seemed to be necessary for my nptl zapp. This saved a lot of time for me!

Currently i am "fighting" with gentoo... All is working fine, but one thing didn't work. NTPL. Now i got some clues. Not so obvious to me. It seems that my profile was to old. Switched it to 2006.1 and changed the architecture to i686, because it seems that it is disabled in i386.

More than 4 Years have passed. Like the previous entry many things happened. Got Work, got a child, build a house and much more :) While still having not much time to do the things i want to do. My dreams come clearer. Gained lot of experience in different areas. Some i am not proud of. After this long break i am at the point of being able to start to realize my dreams. I am a dreamer, nothing but a dreamer (like the supertramp song).

One of those things is to sketch some of my ideas.
There are many things i like to have in different forms . e.g. Think of a normal radio controled clock. But why not integrating a bluetooth chip. So there are many things thinkable. e.g. as support for an internal ntp-server. Or the other direction. Showing events happening like incoming mail, jobs finishing, door bell ringing. There are many ways of communication possible in a house. Bluetooth, WLan, Infrared, TwistedPair, Powerline, "normal" sound.

Another is far more gigantic. More like a dream :) Dreaming of a new computer environment. Something like a nextgeneration unix. "New" Languages etc. That is a thing one person can impossibly achive. There are many steps to go. The way is the goal ;) More description and things will come. I hope. At this point it's all Vaporware.

Nothing but a dream. And i have a lifetime to realize it ;) I hope i am able to realize my dreams.

Many things happend. Some things done.

My homepage makes progress and i set up some projects i am
working on. Most of my time i spend in getting a job.

I started the two projects uce (ugly compile environment)
and bootdiskkit. Both are derived from older stuff i made
with my friends.

More projects are in progress...

The things aren't gone as i wished. So i am heavily involved in
learning
till April :( But in my spare time i am trying to do something.

Currently most of my time i am reading some mailinglists and
learn of the experience of other people. I decided that i don't
publish my "Distribution" as a distribution. My intention is
another. Those people of Rocklinux have to do really ugly things
like care about initscripts in different forms. I won't support
everything, especially if i thing they are going in the wrong
direction. My primary intention is to create a suite for compiling
sources under nearly every distribution and plattform. So i called
my suite uce for ugly compiler envirenment. Currently i used
rpmbuild and make. But that is unusable for publishing and ohter
things. So i will first write some tools. A replacement for
rpmbuild and a tool for fetching and maintaining the sources. I
think
the fetching tool comes first. I will soon publish more on this
topic.

i will put some stuff on it and publishing some documents.
I think there will come some more interesting entries next

Form. I am working with it but the automatism aren't ready
yet. And if they are it isn't like i want them. But first i want a
workable version from where i can go further... More details
