i have to admit that microsoft windowsXP GUI/Explorer/IE is way more advance than Gnome/* or KDE/Konqueror.
Oh,talking about performance,i know sorting before accessing it will slow down the system a lot.How about hash the list,then search it?
I can just think of storing your stuffs in multi-dimensional array.Then you can sort/reverse-sort particular dimension and get the latest element.
is it ok?
What sort of sorted list is that?Some data entries seperated by line breaks?
I wanna give it a try to exercise my brain,more details please!
