I'm quite drunk from the Red Hat party tonight, and I wish I had a wife to miss. That's all.

Oops... don't attempt blogging while drunk. (Don't look at the Advogato articles on the front page. No, really, don't.)

Today I ate cheese tofu at family dinner. I thought it would be cheesy and delicious, but when I bit into it I was... more confused than anything. It tastes kind of like tofu, but without the usual cold and sweet tofu goodness. It did not have much of a cheesy goodness either.

fedora.us is populated with FC 1.91 (test2). Mass rebuild is coming later this week, but in the mean time the existing 1.90 packages should be 99% working. Please let me know if you run into any breakage or conflicts.

Extremely unhappy school week. =(

Looks like Macromedia's Flash Player 7 Beta for Linux browser plugin is coming soon. Not much details but read here to sign-up.

Saw the movie Hidalgo a few days ago. It was not bad. I have a sudden and unexplained urge to go horseback riding. This also somehow reminds me about raw horse meat that they serve in a dish somewhere in southern Japan. I need to visit Japan one day.

It seems that the FC2 Test2 kernel froze one week early in order to avoid unexpected breakage in the test2 installer. Arjan however continues to publish newer kernel test builds at his people page.

Something from a recent rawhide change seems to have made all of the default fonts different. I am not sure if it is better, because I have a massive headache. This headache could either be from the fonts being suddenly very sharp & awesome looking on my LCD display, or going cold turkey from the Celexa.

If you are already running VMWare 4.0.5, your key should work in VMWare 4.5 beta (build 7174). To use it on rawhide's 2.6 kernel you need Petr Vandrovec's vmware-any-any-update*.tar.gz, however the newer rawhide kernels with 4G/4G enabled needs a further patch. I had to uninstall VMWare 4.0.5 and re-install the 4.5 RPM, then install vmware-any-any*, then patch vmware-config.pl to disable a sanity check that prevents it from detecting the kernel headers in /lib/modules/VERSION. Cool, it seems to have fixed the "static in sound output" problem when I play music from Real Rhapsody.

Mostly busy with school work and still struggling with health problems, so being very useful for Fedora at the moment.

This AVI Movie Trailer for FF7 Advent Children brought tears to my eyes. It looks like the same story rather than a continuation... which means we see the tragic loss of Aeris in higher resolution.

Damn it.
