After many hours of compiling I finally got Apache, PHP and MySQL working on Mac OS X, and more important, working together! To get them more than just working but working together I had to compile MySQL with a static zlib, other than the lib supplied by Mac OS X self.

Started an account here at advogato. Today Mac OS X was released too. My copy will be delivered on monday. I wonder if this version gives less problems compiling ordinary Linux / Unix source than the Public Beta that I've been using now.

Hope to get htdig working now...

Maybe it will enable me to take a next step :-) as a programmer. I don't find programming PHP code that exciting anymore. Problem is I don't now where to start... What to do first? Start something for myself? Try to contribute to an other project? C? C++? Linux? Mac OS X? KDE? GTK? Gnome? Aqua?

One thing 's for sure: it won't be Windows :-)
