And still more time has passed. Really ought to remember this site exists more often.

I did make it to OLS this year, with Andy, and it was good. Always interesting to see people make presentations on exactly the same stuff we just figured out or did in-house -- sorta validating our own reasoning process, I guess.

Alas, at OLS we didn't make out well on the food options, except for Indian the first night with the guy from the LSB. Had bad sushi the next night, which was not a good thing. It is hard to go to OLS without really knowing anyone, other then by their mailing list postings. This is the problem with being a 10+ year lurker.

Anyway.. more recent news:

JMac visited this weekend, and hung out in the office to suck free bandwidth off of our multiple T1s, which was just fine. He says that the book is pretty much done. Alas, I still don't feel that I did enough of a proper technical review for him, but he says it was fine.

Hmm.. months have passed.

I didn't make it to OLS, but not for lack of trying. I hit a deer on my way though the western Maine woods to Canada, and thus ended my journey. On the plus side, new windshields are cool!

Planning on going to SANS conference next month. I want to start down the path to becoming a certified security something or other. Whee.

Hmm. Stayed up all night to write a technical report for a call center client in NYC.

Still trying to decide if I can afford to time to actually go to OLS this week. Damm.
