  • I finished reading the 7 Habits book and started applying some of the things teaches. I really enjoyed the book for its style that is easy to read and its examples that make it easy to understand the otherwise abstract concepts.
  • The offline GMail client looks impressive. I'd love to see what it really involves on the development side, but the obfuscated JavaScript makes it hard to understand. From an end-user's point of view it's well done.
  • I've sent by bio & abstract to the Bossa Conference '09 - I'm very excited to participate.

Since nobody reads this I might as well delete the blog. But since I can't figure out how to delete my Advogato account I might as well bring it up-to-date. Somewhat at least.

So these days I live in Oslo, work for Trolltech on Qt and other projects such as WebKit. Besides that I try to contribute to KDE from time to time as well as to Git through the git perforce integration.

Life
Back from 1.5 weeks of holidays down at the lake. A good mixture between biking, meeting old friends, cinema, relaxing and a bit of hacking ;-) . I hope my mind is now free/ready for the upcoming exams...
KDE
Yippee, qt3 porting started ;-) . But oh boy, there are lots of bugs...
Life
Yay, exam is over. Didn't go that well, but I'm optimistic that I pass. Now I wouldn't say now to a little break. Some doing-nothing holiday down at the lake. Decided to postpone it for a week or two though and instead go do some caldera work.
Hacking
Right in the middle of learning I hacked a new launching mechanism for the ioslaves in konq/e, together with Dirk. Fixes temporary memory consumption problems. A bit of a quick thing but I'm happy it's in and it seems to work quite good.
Studies
Learning, learning, studying, studying, ... Exam is on Tuesday...

Yay, official konq/e ipkg is out :) . Hacked a build script to automatize snapshot and ipkg creation. Hacked up a patch for khc to support history, with one week delay, after I promised to coolo :)
Hacking
It's been a really busy weekend. Been hacking a lot on konq/e. It's got a nifty bookmark editor now and quite some other fixes.

And whee, finished the article. My first ever :)

KDE
KDE valley is filling up :) . Werner arrived in Erlangen and Lars was here for a few days. It's just too nice to see KDE'ers in real life. Looking forward to LinuxTag.
Uni
Uhm euhm uni? oh, yes, I almost forgot. After LinuxTag...
Hacking
Yippee, got 'make ipkg' working in konq/e . So building an iPKG from konq/e is a piece of cake now :-)

Smallish concert with the uni big band with grill party afterwards. Ahh, that was great fun!

Oops, have to hurry up now, to avoid being too late to the lectures.

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
