I also remember hearing mention of a project called guile-scsh, with the intent of using Guile as the back end for a Scheme Shell (I believe, though I'm not certain, based on the project mentioned above).
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
