Originally from the East coast of Canada, currently residing in Ottawa.
Write closed-source code for a living for a large corp but try to do the right thing and contribute to Open Source projects when possible.
Currently implementing/fixing the JSAI binding of OpenVRML and fixing/reporting conformance problems.
I've run both FreeWRL and OpenVRML through the NIST VTS (VRML97 conformance tests) and posted my results.

Decided to add another entry before I reached 12 months without a post :-)
Updated OpenVRML from CVS tonight (when the SourceForge get so slow?) for the first time in 2 months. Just don't have the time anymore to do much development on it as work and life has me really busy. Not sure how interested I am in VRML now anyway...the new spec is out now and I have absolutely no interest in working with it :-(
On the plus side, I have learned a lot recently and have been introduced to the joys of Ant...

Been quite a while since my last post so time for a quick update.
I've finished running both OpenVRML and FreeWRL through the NIST conformance tests and it turns out they're both still a long way from being close to conformant.
If anyone's interested, here are the full results for OpenVRML and for FreeWRL.
Besides that, I haven't really made any significant code contributions in quite a long time. Between work, moving to a new apartment and my girlfriend, I just haven't had the free time...

I've been nominated to be the maintainer for the *lookat
(xm, gtk and qt) sample programs that use the
OpenVRML library. (mainly
because no else stepped forward)
Decided the first thing that should be done for each is to
make a quick release that brings each viewer up to date with
the 0.11.2 release of OpenVRML. I released new versions of
GtkLookat and XmLookat earlier this week and hope to get
QtLookat out the door early next week (with lots of help
from others).
Life is good right now...girlfriend has moved in...moving to
a new apartment soon...still employed :-)
If only my
investments weren't completely tanking...damn stock market!

Got my mark back for the
CSC
today. 83.5% overall! Not too bad considering that studying
has been pretty low on my priority list.
I've gotten pretty deep into the
Meyers (Effective C++ &
Effective STL) books over the last few weeks. I'd highly
recommend these to anyone. Filled with great tips for C++
coders.
Getting pretty excited about the NHL playoffs. Hopefully the
Oilers will make it so I'll have someone to cheer for.

Woohoo! Just submitted my CSC assignment by email
with 18 hours to spare! Definitely should not have left that
until the last minute but it's done now and I'm sure I did
enough to get a passing grade...
I'm going to try to get back to working on
OpenVRML this week. Very
interested to see how
Braden's
rearchitecture work is coming along and want to get back at
the ScriptJDK code among other things.
