Older blog entries for teknofile (starting at number 3)

As if being struck down with the flu wasn't bad enough; a miscommunication [as far as I can gather at least] promoted my week to 'hellweek'. The migration to the new T1 line came a tad bit sooner than planed. In fact, I wasn't even 25% ready for migrating all of the DNS/Mail/Web servers from the old IP range to the new one when Southwestern Bell decided to shutdown our internet link. I'm still under the gun getting services up and running, but some stuff is just going to take time.

Needless to say, I havent had time to go to the bathroom much less work on any extra-circicular activites (i.e. GNOME).

Well, not too much coding happened today; however, I got my T1's installed. Got a T1 for voice and T1 for data. Hopefully this is going to be the cure for VPN slowness. Afterall, think of 3 remote offices all sharing the same 256k uplink, with the web traffic and mail traffic. The downstream is comparable to the DSL we had before, but what r0x0rs is the upstream.

I also fought tooth and nail with network solutions. I have to admit, it has gotten easier to make changes to their stuff, but it's still a helluva lot harder than it should be, and god forbid if the previous contact has passed.

According to that test, I'm 71.00592% geeky :)

The closest geek I've seen rate to me was Gwydion-, and he came in just under 60%

I think studying the Klingon language as young teenager helped with my geek score, ;-)

Well, if you can read then, then I got gnome-blog working!
