Notes:

I suppose I should mention some of the free software I've been involved with.

  • Co-author: FFTW, the modestly-named "Fastest Fourier Transform in the West."
  • Author: MPB, a program to compute electromagnetic modes of periodic dielectric structures, e.g. photonic crystals.
  • ...and some small utilities I'm not going to bother to list.
  • Contributor to various other projects, for example GNU autoconf and Octave, and a visualization program called Vis5d.

As you can see, most of my work is on scientific and numerical software, which isn't surprising as I'm a theoretical physicist (well, in training...I'm a graduate student).

Others have certified stevengj as follows:

  • mcelrath certified stevengj as Apprentice

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.

If you're a C programmer with some spare time, take a look at the mod_virgule project page and help us with one of the tasks on the ToDo list!
