My day to day blog here: Förvillelser
Another year gone by and so it is time for my annual advogato diary post. :-)
Been coding a bit less the last 6 months, a bit of opengl, some GBA, no real big projects.
I've got myself a new job too.
Almost a year since my last diary post. Eeek!
So what have I been up to? Pdsys was completely rewritten from scratch, now featuring events, layers, timeline-based effect handling, simple scripts, etc. I also managed to finish a small intro, learned a bit of Ocaml, coded a couple of small utils and started on a bunch of new projects.
I also got a job, working in a record store (I love all kinds of music, so it suits me well).
Long time since my last advogato post, haven't had the chance to code very much because of my move from Manila back to Göteborg though. I also got a small job, some php-code for a web site. Problem is that I don't know PHP that well so I will have to learn it first.
This summer my plans are to release a couple of demos and finish up as many other projects as possible.
My main workstation is on a boat until august though, so im stuck with a 120MHz box and my laptop (which i did not get to boot from the USB-flopp, argh!)...
pdsys has been a bit redesigned thanks to skywarper and I have also started on the basics of a cross-platform opengl demosystem. Hopefully this means that those demos will be made...
More development on bbot. Woo i've made a new branch called bbot2 - this branch is all about modularity. Like i only provide some basic functions and a framework then whoever that wants to can write their own event functions (like onPrivmsg, onNotice etc). And hm tomorrow i will get a USB floppy drive, I really, really hope i can boot from it with my Libretto. Cheers.
Development on pdsys have been hectic and very much alive these couple of weeks! Mostly thanks to skywarper who I invited to join the project (and the plx demogroup). We have finished off the most rough foundations, with some slight upcoming modifications. Some optimization is being done in asm (of course we keep .c versions of everything for portability) and the layers are completely functioning (only alphablening available at the moment though [additive & subtractive is coming]). We even made a small happy-birthtro for smoke :)
Aside from this i've been wandering in to the huge field of AI, and somewhat and got my feet wet by pondering on how to implement a simple natural language parser and a bit of genetic/evolutionary stuff.
What else? hmmm..oh yeah played around with a silly gtk+ app with embedded python interpreter..interesting, i might add some irc code to it.
Have fun.
Things are looking brighter for my little laptop...got some
very nice information from a couple of friendly souls.
:)
Programmed some on pdsys. Thinking of finishing of
or killing a few projects of mine, some of them just
sucks...probably will put them into
public/code/crap/unfinished (:
Anyway I really should start familiarize myself with the
fluxbox code again *sigh*...I want to help some more.
Ho. Long time since last diary entry.
I havent done much anyway...some pdsys coding..some school
stuff. Some job hunting and university mailing...
Ok..thats it.
bye diary.
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
