The cricket world cup fever is everywhere. I'm disappointed with the India's first match where it lose to Bangladesh. But the second match looks to be superb. I didnt get a chance to look at it but a score of 400+ is not small deal. Go ahead team India.

This makes me to watch the upcoming match on Friday. Hope Team India will enter the Super Eight series. I read comments that Cricket is practised as a religion in South ASIA. :)

I'm looking at the article on Forking software projects. It deals with what makes the need for fork. sounds interesting. Busy with few enhancement related things in the work. They consumed time and they are quite interesting.

In the past, I longed for an oppurtunity to use function pointers in any of my implementation and the chance struck this week and I used it in one of my enhancements. :)

Going home for this week end and cricket match to watch tonight............

The last Saturday (Mar 10, 2007) was gr8. My cell rang when I hesitated to get up from bed. It was my friend and he gave me a surprise of visiting my city with some of other frnds. The list goes with Shanker, Param and mani. Seeni, who is from same city where I live also joined us. We five member team spend the day joyfully. We went to a temple where we usually go once our semester Exam in colleges get over. I thoroughly enjoyed that day.

Today, It is not good. I heard abt a bad news which is a road accident. :(

Today, some of us tried our hand with Beryl. We installed it in FC6 with GNOME as the environment. It is really great FUN to look at its features. Awesome. Initially, I tried with FC5 and could not make it. But final result was good. Lot of features.

I spent the last week end with some of my friends. As a sudden plan we went for swimming. Its been nearly more then a year that I went for swimming and this one gives me a different experience. Really, swimming is good. I felt tired after a 2 hour of swimming and that makes me to fall into sleep quickly.

I'm spending some of my time with the awk one liners. They are interesting and suggest me various ways of doing things which I do in more then one line.

This week end is planned. I have to assist my cousin for buying a MP3 player(USB). Last week, we tried the same but all the shops have transcend and he wants HP. Have to try this week. Additionally, a film on the week end :)

I'm reading the reviews of Indian budget for the year 2007. It looks that people related someway with IT are not happy with that.

Life is with ups and downs. let's c c c.

Walking:

Initially, I'm lazy to go for a walk and prefer to take my bike or atleast a bi-cycle for reaching any nearable place. As days passed by, walking becomes an entertainment to me. Nowadays, If i missed walking a single day, I feel I lost something. Walking improves concentration, gave time for me to plan and think. I have noticed that, if something boils my mind when I start walking, I have ended up with some sort of solution to that when I finished the walking for the day.

Nowadays, I usually cover for about 4 Kms/Day on an average through walking. I remember studying an article which says that walking is even better then running or jogging. The thing is that one should accelerate as one started walking. One should try for the maximum speed and that helps to keep the body fit.

Yesterday was highly busy. I came across the problem of ssh not working for protocol 1. The OpenSSL API specifically BN_is_odd() failed. I wrote up a c program using the API RSA_generate_key(). and tested the BN_is_odd() in that program. It failed. Finally, got landed with opensslconf.h file problem. It worked after putting the right file.

Last Sunday passed with me traveling most of time in my bike, a movie, some shopping etc..... Nice week end.

Hang on exit problem exists for so long time with OpenSSH. It have been documented here and reported in the bugzilla bug52. Lately, there were some recent developments on this to fix the behaviour. In our inhouse testing, we find that the patch behaves differently with Linux and HP-UX. But the test case given by djm works in same way in both Linux and HP-UX. But if I run a shell script as decribed in the bug52 I found a difference in behaviour. Let me see how the discussion is going to move forward.

Just reading the tutorials at perlmonks and they sounds interesting. So this completes the week. I'm surprised as this is my 4th blog entry in this month. Nowadays, I'm allocating little bit time to blog amongst other huge tonnes of work. Sounds good, Isn't it?

The work is going fine. Logu brought me a issue with capset() call in Linux. Intially he discover the issue with Squid code in which the the daemon dont have permission to open the file to log its pid. It happens only if TPROXY option is enabled. On further debugging Logu ends with capset() call and it needs much more investigation.

I'm falling prey to Monday sickness. It is about getting back to work after the week end. ;)
