Well its been over 3 years since the last diary entry so it is probably time for a new one. Sept 2002 to Oct 2005, quite a lot has happened in that time.

And if you want to know what, just go to one of those news archive thingies, I wouldn't be telling you anything more than those. About the only thing different for me is a change of job; or really just a change of company from one losing money to one earning it; which is a nice change.

For those in roughly the same timezone as me, its my 34th Birthday (for the rest of you, it is tomorrow). What better way to celebrate than release some software, so psmisc has gone pre1 so the translation folk can work their magic.

I got a pushbike today, the first time I rode one since... well since an awful long time. It's got some strange suspension on it which will take some getting used to. I tried it out by riding around the block but then, in a place where we have drought and water restrictions, it rained! At least the plants might survive this summer if it rains a bit, I'll just go and wave my bike at the clouds.

Domain Change

Well, I finally got another domain. Still have the hard to remember and say eye-net but got enc too. Much simpler "E" "N" "C" rather than is that eye or i, what's a hyphen or eyedashnet; sigh.

They've changed the rules so you can have multiple domains, which is good. eye-net.com.au is still out there so its going to take a while to age it out.

BTW if you have a link to www.eye-net.com.au you should change it to http://www.enc.com.au/.

It's a loverly spring 26C day here in Sydney, I'd rather be out there than in this office.

Has it really been 5 months since my last diary entry? Wow that has flown quick and my
bloody builders still haven't finished building my house.

Fiddled around with the Debian New Maintainer site (http://nm.debian.org/) this week. It now has
some pretty icons thanks to another developer. Not sure what else it needs now.

OH dear, what fun Sydney is at the moment in a pre-Olympic frenzy. Three weeks of absolute chaos but at
least
I won't be near it as I am taking them off. Working in the middle of the CBD, it would not be fun trying to get in.

I may spend 3 weeks playing around with gxsnmp instead.

Cleared out the Debian webmaster email and added more
vendors, plus lots of replies from people who read the
Debian default page for apache on someones site and
immediately think we have something to do with it.
Also got the usual ton of spam, mostly in chinese so it is
totally unreadable to me.

Also fixed up my Debian IPv6 project
page with some details on how to get IPv6 configured.
Still needs more work.

Damn it's Monday already, had a good weekend; even found a
decent chinese restaurant that delivers. At least it is
easter soon and we
have a long weekend coming
up.

Another day, more updates to the Debian website.

Also trying to get id-utils to scan the mail archives, it
was segfaulting, now it seems to be working.

Ever tried indexing 2G of website? It takes a bloody long
time.
