This is my first diary entry, what an emotion!

But let's not joke: I'm just installing icecast on my mini subnet, let's see how well does traffic control behave in Linux. My impression is that you just have to *learn* how to control it (but FreeBSD pipes are a great thing ;) ).

The MOSIX team today released a new version of their software, claiming to have addressed their "SYS V shared memory" problems. I still have to try the code, does this mean DSM is on by default? OTOH, Ciro Cattuto told us about the wonders (and lack thereof) of non uniform memory access, so I'm a litte dubious.

Time to go.
