Joined the ever-increasing ranks of advogato members who have seen Chicken Run. It really is almost as good as Wallace and Gromit - the only difference is that CR's plot is, sadly, lacking the level of total silliness found in W&G. Presumably Hollywood thinks that its audiences need plots that make sense :( But the awfulness of the puns ("It's raining hen! Poultry in motion!") makes up for that, I think.

Of course the trailers give the whole plot away, but I knew that from the trailers...

Best line - Rocky: "I come from a little place we call the land of the free" - other chicken (whose name I forget): "Scotland!"

In other news, discovered that Japize and japicompat both eat way too much memory if you try to run them against the humungous JDK1.2 or 1.3 APIs. Need to do some optimization. First thought - use "while (each())" instead of "foreach (keys())" in japicompat.
