I've come to know that Instant Message Protocol (http://www.ietf.org/html.charters/impp-charter.html) was finalized. As a NLP software developer, I have a new idea to integrate intelligent e-mail filtering to procmail (www.procmail.org) and notify to end-users via Instant Messengers.

As a component of this news service, we need a natural language understand module. At first mail filter tranditional e-mail filter or term matching will do for it, but ideally natural language understanding is the key player.

I have downloaded procmail from procmail.org. At first we need a method to represent, IR's term matching will work right now.

Instant Message Protocol will be implemented on desktops, including M$ products and Open Source systems, and mobile appliance. E-Mail filtering and alert system is essential.
