"I'm back and I'm ringing a bell, I'm rocking on the mike while the fly girls yell..."

Been a while since I've posted here. I'm graduated, married, and a bit smarter than I was the last time I posted. Amazing how much one grows up in a couple of years. Anyways, my new "passion" is python, and I'm writing my research project in grad school using this magnificent tool.

Whew... one more semester down ~3 more to go... I think
I've sold out. Being as I no longer use Linux (I use
FreeBSD), I wonder if I'm even "relevant". Anyways, watch
this space.

Hello world again! There has been quite a time laspe
between my current and last posts, for which I apologize,
but my life is finally starting to straighten out. I
recently quit working at <A
HREF="http://www.innovates.com/>Innovates due to the
fact that it is nearing the time for me to go back to
school. Also, after some good discussions with my employer
about compensation and back pay, I have finally been able
to set myself up financially for the coming semester. It's
been a lot of work, heartbreak, and disappointment so far,
but I've learned a ton and have no regrets. Thanks to all
my friends on #gnome for advice and support.

Peace out.

Busily creating specs and test for my project at work, the
"Digital Music Machine". Had an interesting conversation
about the environment with eskil, mjs, and others on #nautilus.

Playing with ogg vorbis a lot lately (on recommendation from
raph). It's a way cool format and
an xmms plugin is available for decoding vorbis streams. All
I can say is "Look out Fraunhofer, Vorbis will be eating
your lunch soon."

Other than that, I'm going through an interesting time of my
life. I'm not really sure where I'm going, but I'm pretty
damn excited to be going there. Work is enjoyable, my
finances _could_ be in better shape, and my GPA's a little
low for my tastes, but I have confidence that things are on
the right track.

Ahh... progress is nice. After banging my head against a
brick
wall
for about a week contemplating the best way to
tackle the
caching
issue in librsvg, I think I've finally
figured out the "best"
solution.
Talked with raph a couple
of nights ago about stuff. He's
an interesting
dude.

Peace out to all my homies at eazel

Oh, by the way, there's a kid named Carbamide learning to
code
C
knockin' around irc.gimp.org on the #gnome and
#nautilus
channels. Please help him out
if he's stuck.

First Post :)

Talked with raph about font stuff today.

Eskil
goaded me into getting an advogato acct.

I'm tired and weary. Nite all.
