This account was initially created to weigh in on the ongoing discussions. However, my lurk time is low enough that I am quite sure my perceptions of the appropriate forms/culture are lacking. However since there are various links off the front page to new minds signing up for indoctriation/membership, someone respectable and curious/bored is bound to come across onto my page.

I would appricate guidence in how to post. I think that I can handle being sublime and inoffensive, however recent comments have led me to believe that my comments might not be welcome due to their subject matter.

To whit:

• I have some thoughts on the topic of certification/trust/moderation/etc.
  
• The most recent disscusion on this topic contains a comment by Acapnotic which decries the selfexamination going on.
  
  This brings up an interesting side issue: How to refer to a post in a discussion directly as I found no # tags in the src.
• I think that the discussion is relevant and that nothing should every be blocked off as safe from examination, however FAQ's exist for a reason. Since this topic seems still fresh and open [and there is no FAQ maintainer to go to with my thoughts/questions], I'm pondering what the best way to respond is.
  

If someone could provide a few tips on how the community is leaning.

Maybe I should just post my comments as a diary entry, but that seems to defeat the purpose of a forum, as then users have to look in more than one place for the discussion.
