Long time since I've posted an entry, I was pleased to see
that my account on advogato hadn't been dropped in my
absence. Like always, school has been keeping me very very
busy, but I did get back to mozilla for a while, long
enough to land new mail sound notification with
sspitzer.
Next up: Spell checking in Mozilla.
Anyways, I currently can't build ever since things were
converted to JARs -- perl crashes during the build. JAR
also is a problem for Dino because we're using XPIs which
no longer will be compatible. (offtopic) In other news,
I've finished the first working version of a database I'm
coding for my school. In Sept. I really really want to
begin (and finish!) coding on Publish...IMHO, it's really
important
Status for week ending 8.25.00

Fix more nsbeta3+ ... although my progress will be severely
hampered by school :(
Dino has been keeping me busy this weekend.
Basically,
it
is a set of patches to Mozilla which won't [ever] show up
in the main tree. Included are functions like adding the
bookmarks menu to the personal toolbar and being able to
add or remove toolbar buttons at will. With the recent
addition of the Print button to the Mozilla toolbar (which
is ugly and out of place) Dino has been very popular. Check
it out at dino.sourceforge.com. Right now, we're trying to
hook a prefs panel up to the add and remove toolbar button
function. (8:30pm) Just posted an article about Dino
to Mozillazine.org, it should show up tomorrow. Cool
stuff.
And now, the bad news. School starts
Thursday and that will severely limit my ability to
touch Mozilla. Very bad indeed.
Resolved three bugs this week:
41968: Print button is dim
48686: Print button doesn't even work
45645: Can paste into ReadOnly text fields
Plans for next week
Fix any nsbeta3+ bugs that I can find

FOAF updates: Trust rankings are now exported, making the data available to other users and websites. An external FOAF URI has been added, allowing users to link to an additional FOAF file.
