Time to wipe of the dust from my Advogato account before it collapses under it's load. For today I just certified a bunch of people.

<p> Back to hacking the MIPS cache code. A few thousand lines of patches and what's left is still just evil and sinister.

Ok, MIPS 2.4.10 is out and after a minor glitch even
working. Now it's time to hack on the floatingpoint support
software for the kernel which was contributet by
Algorithmics and hacked into the kernel. Looks fine but
there are definately style issues to solve and they sent me
a huge patch amalgated with tons of other stuff which I have
to sort out first. Oh well. It's 5:24am and I'm hacking

Linux/Origin rocks. My dual processor Origin 200 just
survived compiling a kernel at a load of way over 300.
Guess we're approaching stability. Quite an advance in
comparison to where we were just half a year ago.

Some nice guy in Switzerland gave me his used Indy, so now I
finally have a sane MIPS desktop again and can continue to
maintain the Indy kernel. Maybe finish the 64-bit kernel

So ... Now now my Merced machine finally got delivered
after just four weeks of two day cargo. Did you fire a
useless customs officer today? Anyway, got the box working
after some troubleshooting and so IA64 will be the third
Linux port I'm hacking on. Just to complement this I've new
also opened (finally!) a Avogato account.
Aside of this a bit more MIPS bug fixing.
