First solo flight! It's a strange notion, being by yourself in an airplane that's actually flying.
Fortunately the traditional bucket of water over the head did not follow, as it was about -12C in Ottawa today, and I would have had to have been taken to the hospital for thawing.
BTW, congratulations on taking French lessons! I did that this spring too. I was born and bred in southwestern Ontario, where I was a lot more likely to hear Dutch than French. So while I took French in school for years, I never got to use it -- until I got here, and figured I'd better brush up. Bonne chance!

ottawaDave: curious to see what you do with the Ottawa Python Authors Group. I've been hacking Python for a while now, and use it lots with my current gig. I'd be curious to see what else people are doing with it.
hacking: a quick parser for a small subset of Oracle DDL SQL using a great parser generator. Good fun. Now, to think more deeply about the various issues with modelling data for RDBMS storage, and modelling it for XML storage...
