My first PyGTK project is on-line, at http://souceforge.net/projects/isdnpy. It's a simple and lame ISDN dialer, but it works :-)

Finally Open Source made some real roots here at the company. Our report system is now GPLed, in http://sourceforge.net/projects/siri

Only a quick note to say: FINALLY I LEARNT BASIC PYTHON!

My first three programs are now ready:

  • a Python port of my ISDN shell script dialer trigger
  • a program to make the skeleton of the SuporteLetter (a weekly newsletter I write about the support's week)
  • a program to format the necessary XML for the Quiz of OLinux

And yes, GO PYTHON!

Ahn, Carnival? Carnival? Yeah, Carnival! 5 days of sex, love and joy with my girl!

Today the support moved to a new room. A bit more space for us - and everything blue!

Carnival is approaching fast, REALLY fast!

I had to work Saturday. Hell, working Saturday! At least everything went good :)

Started to learn Python. At least I can bloat my shell scripts now making them run in Python!!! :)))

I'm quite broken, but anyway... I'll spend Carnival with my girl at São Paulo, by plane. A new company called Gol has good prices to São Paulo. US$90 for the two tickets (Rio->SP and SP->Rio).

Wow! Finally a new monitor at home. A simple 14" one, but I finally can send my old and trusty SyncMaster 3 to my brother :-)

Oh hell. Customer problemas, a school has a kind of crazy ISDN subsystem and I can't solve the problem. I'm starting to give up on programs and their craziness.

I need to program! Maybe I need to learn Python. At last because those development freaks love Perl. I hate Perl.

And... for those who asked me, yes, Nautilus compiled! Nautilus compiles and runs on potato :-)

Things are looking a bit better now. Our Linux portal, OLinux, was relaunched yesterday night. After much tears, sweat, failed Bug Days and fights, those people at the development finally made it. I'm a kind of proud, as since I went to work here at Linux Solutions I was involved in the project (I organized the first Bug Day and was a tester)

My first article to ModemClub went online also yesterday. It's a QA about isdn4linux. I liked it! Hope people think the same.

Currently waiting for the 2.4 kernel compile at www.olinux.com.br ending, waiting for a visit to a customer, waiting to let cron apt-get -b source nautilus and so on. Waiting, waiting, writing...

And WHY DEBIAN IS STILL WITH MOZILLA M18???

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
