Hello everyone.

I think I've only posted here once before, so I thought I'd post here again. I've been using Linux for since about 1998 or so, and been working on different pet projects for more or less the same time. I haven't really contributed too much to any established projects, partly because I worry a lot whether people will think my code is wrong. Maybe I worry too much about that.

Anyhow, my current pet project is this. I've been working on it on and off in my spare time for the last year or so. I don't have a lot of spare time, but I've managed to partway implement a scheme interpreter. I've even gotten some of the more complicated stuff implemented. It may never end up being useful to anyone, but its been a good programming excercise, and in any case, I will probably end up using it in other projects. It's based on GLib/GObject, and I've tried to make its API similar to other Gnome APIs. I eventually want to create bindings for the Gnome API for it, but that's still a long way off.

Hello Advogato!

I just made an account. Maybe I'll have something interesting to write here at some point :)

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.

Keep up with the latest Advogato features by reading the Advogato status blog.
