Unix Network Programming Volume 1
Damn good buy. Read though it on the plane on the way back from vacation. I have volume 2 and it has helped me out tremendously at work, but I never thought that I would really need to get Volume 1, seeing that so much is available online - boy, was I wrong, W.Richard Stevens was an amazing writer and had a great eye for details.

The New Redhat
I am running a highly modified Redhat 8 (pulling the new config-tools from Rawhide) and I LOVE it. These guys have really raised the bar on what a free desktop should look like. I used to hate Redhat, as they had the worst desktop offering out there and they have now come out on top.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
