I'm going to Carnegie Mellon next year.

May 6 is my first AP test of six. I may very well be so screwed.

It has been pointed out to me several times by several different people that $60 sushi meals are not the lunches, dinners, or midnight snacks of those in horrible horrible debt to a variety of lenders, as I may be were I to attend CMU.

Shut up, all of you. I can dream, can't I?

Those interested in contributing anywhere from a tuppence to around $25,000 for me to attend Carnegie Mellon University (http://www.cmu.edu/) next year, please contact me at mike@aspect.net (email) or mike@jabber.org (jabber) or boatpants (aim).

Leaving now to visit Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh on Friday. If they'd give me some money, I think I'd be able to survive there ... especially since I found out about Umi and a bunch of other supposedly really good sushi places. http://pittsburgh.citysearch.com/profile/11356750/

I want another vacation!

Oh, and I am really enjoying the feng shui job I did with my room. It's not necessarily great by any means but it is a vast, vast improvement. Working is a lot nicer.

Whoooh. I'm a wee bit nervous about tomorrow.

I'm trying to reorganize my room/work area into something more comfortable, open, and feng-shui-ified. It's fun! Lots of the stuff in feng shui is common sense (no, not the stuff about deflecting chi, at least not to me) -- pointing your desk so you can see who is coming to see you at the door gives you the confidence that no one is sneaking up on you and makes you feel better. Similarly instead of working while staring into a wall, which makes you feel confined, point yourself so your line of vision is welcomed by free space, so you feel free likewise. At least those two seem to work pretty well for me so far, unless it's just that I really wanted them to work since my room seemed so crappy and dismal before :\

College admittance decisions were supposed to make the job of choosing where to attend (and so how much debt to accrue, etc) a lot easier. But it hasn't. Argh.
