I'm trying to reorganize my room/work area into something more comfortable, open, and feng-shui-ified. It's fun!
Lots of the stuff in feng shui is common sense (no, not the stuff about deflecting chi, at least not to me) -- pointing your desk so you can see who is coming to see you at the door gives you the confidence that no one is sneaking up on you and makes you feel better. Similarly instead of working while staring into a wall, which makes you feel confined, point yourself so your line of vision is welcomed by free space, so you feel free likewise.
At least those two seem to work pretty well for me so far, unless it's just that I really wanted them to work since my room seemed so crappy and dismal before :\
