Notes:

I'm a Linux developer living in Chile; actually I was born in same country :-) I have been writing C and Python codes from severals years. My first help to the Linux community was Webtranslator: it's an OpenSource documentation system. So far this was applied to translations of PostgreSQL manuals (l10n.postgresql.cl)

Currently I'm working for Mandriva Linux.

As every year we have got a new Linux Convention in our country. Also people in charge did a nice image, banner04
so if you are Chile or you will be, join us. This will be a great "show", next year is our time because we will be in charge!

Sadly my webapp's development is almost stopped because I haven't got much more money to spend on it and that's mean no time, because I'm not a full time webtranslator developer and I've got to share my time with my pillow. So, currently I'm looking for a sponsor to improve lots of new features that will help to the open source community.

If you want to know more about this project you can go to our pgfoundry page or send me a direct mail to gonzalemario at gmail dot com if you please.

As usual in Latin America an InstallFest is celebrated, this festival is called FLISOL and this will be the April 28th. We, as UdeC linux user group, are going to support this with another educational institute from our city.

I hope and I know this will be a great installfest and also, we're getting more experience for the Linux Convention 2008

Currently I'm working in a university called "Universidad de Concepcion) and we've got a linux user group. But last weeks have been a little bothering, some new people did a proposal and not the all group are agree, including myself. So, we've got to decide what we're going to do, because we are in charge in Chile of the Linux Convention 2008 (Encuentro Linux). Yeah! almost 2 year more however, it's necessary gain training in those years before the big one.

Why every day lots of mail arrive from users in mailing lists trying to go out from a list? well they could have this own reasons and I think that's ok however why they send mails in the body with "unsuscribe", "unsubcribe", "unsusbcribe" and others? There is one way to unsusbcribe only and they cannot see or are they too lazy to read three or four lines?

Users, I'll never understand you :-)
