hacker: I threw my linksys BE-whatever off a building and bought the netgear MR-814 you talked about. It rocks. It has plenty more features, and they actually f***in work. I called Linksys support before I did this to see what they were going to say, and I got the same recommendation that others got: to flash the firmware down a version, which I hear turns it into a brick with an antenna. So thanks :)

tk: thanks to your links I find myself reading and learning lojban today (heh). Probably the fact that I just read Snow Crash also has something to contribute to this....
hacker : I am so glad you posted your last entry. I bought this same model 3 weeks ago offline and am having the EXACT same problems. I thought it was me (or my cable internet provider). Downloads stall, everything loses connection after no more than an hour. I went to see if there were firmware upgrades but it turns out it came with the latest version. Thanks for letting me know I'm not crazy.
raph: which cvs server does mod_virgule sit on these days? I got my current tree from gnome.org but the index page isn't the same with what is currenly being used.

Linux users: wanna dare SCO to sue you?

so today I hear news about Gentoo starting a game company for linux games. pretty neat stuff, especially since they're already releasing the cd image for America's Army (I kind of has reserves about that games motivations...). The dl site is being killed though, so I was thinking about starting a torrent since I've never used bittorrent before, but word on the street is there's already one going. it's here. It's going now and working great... Bram bittorrent rocks. Thanks for some cool software.

SCO: holy hell, yesterday they were a part of UnitedLinux, now they've gone mad.

I wonder what the deal with these people are? https://sardonix.org/

P.S: look at what tools they're using in the matrix reloaded :)
nymia : go for the octane!!!! sgi's are alot of fun, and you seem to be doing the 3d/game thing right now. irix has a hell of an x server to play with.

thanks to whoever first posted the programmers stone link, it's a fun read :)

well this is about the third round of this fight that I remember, so I think I'll try a more realistic approach. why are software developers using a community website about software to voice political opinions??? why can't we keep it to just software around here? sure, we all have more things to talk about in life besides software, but that's why I use things like livejournal and simply link to my livejournal on my public page instead of throwing my personal happenings/views in everyone's damn face. my girlfriend might be pregant, but wtf do open-source developers care? I don't think that anyone will disagree that this is counter-productive. what are we all getting out of this? and WHAT THE HELL are some of us thinking by threatening to certify certain people to cause more of a battle? what's next, defacing each other's homepages with l33t 0days and posting pro/anti war stuff???
