eh he, how much of a total bitch is that. the aix box, on attempted upgrade from 4.2 to 4.3, only partially completed. /dev/cd0 is unrecognised, error, recommend running diag -a for details. diag fails because libdiag.a is an unrecognised archive, assuming a script.

sshd still works. damn *nfsd* still works. which gave me an idea: try to mount the cd over nfs... [5 hours later, ok that worked: didn't help]

[more news: i did not have the upgrade 4.3.2.0 only 4.3.2.3 and *guess* what the damn prerequisite path is? now, i too, am an aix-hater]

... does anyone have gcc 2.95 for aix 4.2?
