Still looking over the gtkhtml clue flow code, it is not simple to see what is going wrong with the layout. Hopefully I'll find it tonight. Ettore seems to be making good progress on editing.

I need to get more sleep, I've been pushing it too hard for over a month and a half between leaving Adhesive and starting at Helix Code. If I don't rest soon I'll be completely incapable of anything.

gtkhtml's table code is evil

Wow, spent most of the weekend trying to finish up outstanding things, and there are still things left to do. I hope I can finish writting everything tomorrow and just fix things the rest of the week. It is getting preogressively harder to keep motivated.

Once I'm done with the work part I've to spend a lot of time cleaning out the office. There is no way I can work out of here in its current state. Getting it really organized is probably going to involve tossing a lot of things out.

Too much work trying to finish things up here at Adhesive before I leave. I need some rest.

Went to the courthouse for docket call yesterday to deal with a ticket I got while bicycling to work a couple months ago (yes, before the bike was stolen). I had nice talk with the prosecutor. I explained how my ticket had more to do with the police officer being upset with almost having run over me than with me violating any traffic laws. After a short description she agreed and dismissed the ticket. I am actually quite impressed that all it took was a reasonable discussion.

I also wasted some time writing a simple xmag replacement. It was hard to resist because all the recent gdk-pixbuf work makes it trivially easy. I'll release to code soon.

Fixed GnomeCanvasPixbuf::bounds() last night. I think that pretty much covers most of the item, except perhaps when libart implements other scaling methods. I'm starting on adding the unit calculations to GnomeCanvasHacktext so that I can get a better grasp on what the generic viewport stuff will require.

ugg... didn't leave work until past 11pm. I need sleep and a good day tomorrow.

No real progress on the USB stuff today, too busy with real work. I hope I'll have time to write a correct ::bounds() method for GnomeCanvasPixbuf tonight.

Working on various usb related things today, trying to figure out if it is the uhci stack in 2.3.26 or the HP ScanJet 3300Cse that is causing the io errors I am seeing.

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
