Damn!!!
As I was going up the hill to my house today, I spied the UPS truck going down. This looked like good news, since my 486 NAT box died for good yesterday, and I ordered a replacement about a week ago. Unfortunately, when I got home there was nobody there to collect the package if it was indeed my package. Now I'll never know! If only I was given the UPS tracking number...
I'm not sure of the predominant age group around advogato, but some readers may be familiar with the facial blemish common of high school aged computer geeks known as the zit. Today, I applied a rather potent anti-blemish agent in the form of a viscous soap before leaving for skül. It has worked well in the past, so I didn't give it much thought.
When I arrived at school, a friend kindly suggested wiping the side of my face. Thinking there was some kind of residue from the soap, I grazed my face with my left hand. My left hand got nicely blooded. Well, that's never happened before :P
Today was a mediocre day, nothing much to report except that I had a bit of fun re-themeing with a combination of e.themes.org, gtk.themes.org, and desktopgirls.com :)
Yesterday, however, was great because I went into Deep Hack Mode. I came in Saturday morning with nothing to do, and the next thing I knew it was Sunday morning and I had written a whole lot of code. I love Deep Hack Mode, and I haven't done it in a while. I think this is because one of the conditions for my entering Deep Hack Mode is that I can't have anything else to do (i.e. school work, fixing stuff, etc.) that my concience might bother me about right in the middle of debugging a mean recursive function. Conclusion: I need less responsibilities and more free time.
